This January, researchers, academics and clinicians from all over Europe and Israel were welcomed to the Insigneo Motion Capture and Virtual Reality Laboratory at the University of Sheffield for a training session for all the universities and hospitals involved in Work Package 2 ‘Technical validation of a single sensor system’ of the Mobilise-D project. The training took place 22 – 24 January 2020, and introduced all participating test sites to the equipment and protocols we will be using in the technical validation study.
The work on the development of the digital technology is led by Professor Claudia Mazzà, Interim Executive Director of Insigneo and Professor in Biomechanics at the University of Sheffield’s Department of Mechanical Engineering.
In the pictures, Associate Professor Andrea Cereatti from the University of Sassari, Sardinia, demonstrates the INDIP system, used as the gold standard in the technical validation.
